Mexico Part 8

Hi!  I'm so sorry this took so long, I was going to put this up sooner but blogspot was malfunctioning.
Yeah, I'm starting with a nighttime view of Morelia which is kinda random but yeah.
We explore an art gallery thing.

Awesome clay figure!
Wow, this is a really intricately woven cloth!
Cool statue.
We go into a restaurant and see this display of cute little figurines.
If you look closely, you can see there are a lot of saints hanging upside down in this picture.  This is because it supposedly helps you get a husband.
These pictures explain the legend of this saint.
There were A LOT of pictures of saints.
Yummy chips and dip as appetizers.
Yummy food!
We did not take a photo but Pastrygirl's sister ordered chicken fingers and they were RAW!  Don't worry though, she was fine.
Pretty coffee.
After eating, we get to look around a local cooking school.
The kitchen inside.
A little cage designed for holding eggs!
A really nice looking table :).
Outside, there is an outdoor cooking area.
So many jugs!
An outdoor oven.
A bridge behind the building.

Well that's it, we finished Mexico.  Woohoo!  This is a night view of the city lights.  I hope you enjoyed all the pictures!

  1. Pastry Girl,
Thank you so much for the pictures and the comments, great story telling. Did you find out the connection between upside down saint and finding a husband? Kind of lost on the logic of it. Interesting though.

  2. Wow….this post is LONG and covers many different themes and activities! Now I totally understand why it was so frustrating when blogspot lost your initial upload ;-(

I'm with Andy here on not making a connection between an upside down hanging saint and finding a husband ;-) Please explain???

Apparently, PastrySister suffered no dark trauma from eating raw chicken fingers. I remember her enjoying chicken fingers just recently with PastryGirl and Donutboy!

  3. Um, okay so apparently in the legend a woman prays to a saint and then the saint says to hang his picture upside down and then her wish comes true and she gets a husband. DISCLAIMER: This is probably inaccurate.
