Without fail, this couple come to visit my backyard every year as the weather warms up. Can someone tell me what they are? Ducks, geese or mutant chickens that swim??????? I don't really mind them visiting except for their bad bathroom habits. They tend to leave their business all around the pool. Otherwise, they are a lovely couple, making goo goo noise towards each other and waddling around together. What would you name this pair of quackpots?
I think they are ducks. I would call them quackledoodles.
ReplyDeleteLike your suggestion…..Quackle and Doodle…..like Laurel and Hardy!
DeleteThey are ducks, mallard ducks to be exact, judging by the male's green head and the females brown body and stripe of color on the wings. They are very common in the bay area and enjoy marshy grounds where they can swim and eats worms (not the gummy ones). However, it seems their taste has shifted from algae marshlands to small, chlorine pools! If you want to get rid of their "presents" there are two possible choices.
Delete1) Put out a roll of TP and hope for a radical evolution of fingers on wings.
2) Borrow Max for a week and scare them off. XP
@Dogluver
DeleteHeeHeeHee, I like your TP suggestion. Maybe a toilet training seat and a radical evolution of their brain will do the trick XP
Yup! However, it never worked for Max. (although he is trained to go outside.. he NEVER uses the TP.....)
