DC Trip Part 2

Hey everybody!  So this is part two of the DC post.  Anyway, this is a picture of George Washington's home in Mount Vernon.
The servant quarters of George Washington's home.  Unfortunately, cameras were not allowed past this point ):
Completely random, but this is the ceiling of the Lincoln Memorial.
Abraham Lincoln inside of Lincoln memorial.
A night view of Washington monument.  A bit bleary but kind of pretty right?
A wall in the memorial of the Vietnam war.
A wall with the names of people who died during the war.  D:  That's all for now but there will be more pics soon!

  1. THANKS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL DC PICS PASTRYGIRL! All of them look great. Good framing, interesting angles and subjects, and a sure and steady hand. I can't believe you took some of those under sub-zero conditions!!!

I went to see the movie "Lincoln" 2 weeks ago, and the Washington DC depicted in that movie was a lot more dreary and, of course, not as modern as the one you visited today. On the other hand, Daniel Day Lewis, the Oscar best actor in that movie, does bear an uncanny resemblance to Lincoln though, as I'm reminded by your picture of Lincoln's statue in his memorial!

I sometimes secretly wish that Lincoln had not abolished slavery…..then I can make DonutBoy my slave (heeheeheehee……and more evil laughs) Anyone you want for your slave????
