Hi everybody! I made strawberry banana ice cream! This recipe is made for vita mix blender so it may not be 100% accurate for other blenders!
Ingredients: 1 cup milk
1 pound unsweetened strawberries
1 frozen banana
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
First, place all the ingredients inside blender. Put on the lid and begin to blend at a slow speed and slowly increase speed. When on high press ingredients down toward blade. Not using hands! In 30-60 seconds the sound of the motor should change and there should be four mounds in the mixture. If it is not thick enough put in a cup of ice cubes and process until smooth. Do not overmix or melting will occur. Hope you enjoy this!
Your output looks extremely yummy! Some friends showed me how to make strawberry ice cream at a party last year with the Vitamix Blender, using only strawberries and ice cubes. The motor noise was very loud....like a Boeing 747 coming in to land, but the output is still delicious :-) Hope your rescued penguins like ice cream too!!!!
ReplyDeleteYa... I went to a party at a club with my friends and they made berry ice cream... It was tasty, but it was REALLY LOUD and the supplies to make it were hard to get...it was tasty, but I got a big ice cube in mine... I'd rather buy a tub of ice-cream instead...
