D.E.A.D.

For the past month this blog has been...

DANCING
ENERGETICALLY
AMONGST
DRY LEAVES

^ I have no idea what that means. Honestly.

 TOMORROW IS NEW YEAR'S EVE!!
and there has not been one post on here since November. Yes, I am part of the blame.

I'm a little late for Christmas, but here you go anyways.

What has become of our lovely blog? In the first year, it was bursting with new posts every week. This year... we're lucky to get two posts a month. So- this is going on my New Year's Resolutions.

8. No matter how stupid, try to post more on Random Thoughts From the Girls.

Well, that's my contribution. Happy holidays! and Happy New Year!

Sorry. It's Been a While.

Hey everyone! I'm back. I feel like I say this every time I post this year, but SORRY FOR NOT CHECKING ON THE BLOG FOR THE PAST.. MONTH?
Anyways, Thanksgiving is next week- how are you celebrating/ what will you be doing? I have this mini project for Spanish that basically asks those questions. =P
On another topic (sorry I'm jumping from place to place), I realized in these past couple of days that I need a new hobby, or at least, be not lazy enough to enjoy the hobbies I already have. For example, I like to draw BLOBBs (as you may have seen in previous posts). However, I would look at the piece of paper and markers and simply be too lazy to actually start drawing (scribbling XP) anything.
Maybe I just need to learn how to not be as lazy. Something to put on next New Year's Resolutions. Actually, I think I put that every year. =P
Scrolling down through October's posts, I am amazed at all the pictures. Wow, they are so beautiful!!  Next time you should bring me along/// just kidding. ^_^
Hm.. November

                             November, November

'Tis November I see
 Wow. How fast
it seems.
That time has
gone, and days
have become
darker
and something.
yah, lots of
leaves,
colder weather.
What is the
meaning of
this poem?
November,
November.
Don't ask.
Please.
I don't know
why either.

Aha. Some terrible on-the-spot poetry~ Hoped you enjoyed my nonsense
ITS THE HOLIDAYS (KIND OF) AND I DON'T WANT TO DO HOMEWORK, SO HERE'S A LITTLE QUESTION THING.

1) During the Holidays I enjoy
          a. eating lots of food and getting... considerably larger
          b. walking through the crisp winter air and stomping on fallen leaves
          c. Not doing homework because "But it's the Holidays!" makes a great excuse
          d. none of the above
          e. other ______

2) Why are end-of-the-year holidays when families get together? (as in, why don't families get together during the summer and celebrate Fourth of July or something? Why is "family holidays" generally associated with Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
           a. Annually, people think there will be an apocalypse near the end/beginning of the year so they want to spend time with their loved ones
           b. It's just a good time; it's cold and dark outside, much better weather to comfortably have ten or more people in the same room
           c. No answer necessary.
           d. none of the above
           e. other _____

3) What is your favorite holiday?
           a. Your Birthday
           b. President's Day
           c. Groundhog Day
           d. none of the above
           e. other _____

Well, this is one super long post. I hoped you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed typing it! (I will not tell you whether or not I actually liked typing all this lol)

One more thing- here you go Pastrygirl. Sorry, I know it's really late, and it's kinda plain. If you want I'll color it or something and then post it again~
Well. I think that's enough for today. Bai.

Guess which country I visited this summer?

Here are some picture clues:

A unique building facade by one of the country's most famous architects.

The bull ring was closed on the day I visited. I ended up taking a picture with the bull sculpture.

Orxata is a delicious almond and rice milk drink enjoy by many in this nation.

Off duty flamingo dancers posing at the palace.

Have you ever seen a rooftop like this?

Tapas bars everywhere.

Do you recognize that this plaza was used as a location in the Star Wars movie series?

Countryside white villages.

October is here!

Wow, I can't believe it's October already!  What are you guys doing for halloween?  I hope there will be more posts this month.  Yeah, that's it for now.  ^.^

Mexico Part 8

Hi!  I'm so sorry this took so long, I was going to put this up sooner but blogspot was malfunctioning.
Yeah, I'm starting with a nighttime view of Morelia which is kinda random but yeah.
We explore an art gallery thing.

Awesome clay figure!
Wow, this is a really intricately woven cloth!
Cool statue.
We go into a restaurant and see this display of cute little figurines.
If you look closely, you can see there are a lot of saints hanging upside down in this picture.  This is because it supposedly helps you get a husband.
These pictures explain the legend of this saint.
There were A LOT of pictures of saints.
Yummy chips and dip as appetizers.
Yummy food!
We did not take a photo but Pastrygirl's sister ordered chicken fingers and they were RAW!  Don't worry though, she was fine.
Pretty coffee.
After eating, we get to look around a local cooking school.
The kitchen inside.
A little cage designed for holding eggs!
A really nice looking table :).
Outside, there is an outdoor cooking area.
So many jugs!
An outdoor oven.
A bridge behind the building.

Well that's it, we finished Mexico.  Woohoo!  This is a night view of the city lights.  I hope you enjoyed all the pictures!

YES. I'm back =D

Hello wonderful bloggers and followers. I'm back again to post another boring post. (sorry I used "post" twice. it's not my fault it's a verb AND a noun) This is probably the only time I have posted twice in two days. (as in one post per day consecutively.)  I was trying to figure out how to say that, so sorry if it doesn't make sense. Anyways, the reason why I'm back is because I'm procrastinating on homework that isn't due tomorrow, so I thought, why not just come to the blog? And so I did.
There isn't going to be anything actually entertaining or amusing in this post, so. here's a picture.

Sunset.
Yes.
It is in fact.
A sunset.
Nice observation skills.

Yup.

Adventure Week

Hello one and all! Sorry about not checking this blog every now and then. To be honest, I just recently remembered it since I was reading some other blogs.

Anyways, this week (starting tomorrow) I'm going to try and go completely vegan. To be vegan means you cannot eat any animal products. Unlike being vegetarian, this requires you to abstain from milk, butter, honey, bread, ice cream, yogurt, cheese, eggs, honey, or anything else that even touched an animal as well as any form of meat!! Ok that part about not eating anything that touched an animal may have been a bit of a stretch but basically you have to eat ALL plants and NO animal products. I'm happy to take you guys along my journey so perhaps you can try a vegan week yourself. If this goes well, I can go for another week, and another, and another...but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Perhaps I cannot survive without ice cream and cheese and butter and meat (I know how much I enjoy meat). Frankly, I eat it everyday, not to mention all the milk products. If you want to try it with me for a few days, I give you a few tips to get you started. Tofu and beans gives you the protein you can no longer get from meat. Leafy greens are a must as well! Personally, I love bean sprouts since they are light and crunchy and go well with anything. And don't forget all the fresh fruits. You can even blend them together for a light smoothie. And instead of sandwiches with bead and meat, try a nice light tofu wrap.

My inspiration for going vegan was to try and get myself to be healthier. Much to the dismay of my friends, eating healthier DOES make you feel better. So take it upon yourself to feed your body the correct foods and you will DEFINITELY feel the difference. Now, eating healthy doesn't automatically mean you'll be healthier (or skinnier as I'm aiming for). You do need to supplement the diet with the proper amount of exercise. Go for a light jog, or even just a long walk to warm up. Do some crunches while watching tv, or pushups on the floor while you're waiting for water to boil. Little things here and there make a difference and I'll be here reporting my findings every step of the way. Until then, let's see if I can survive. Bonne chance!

Churros

Hi everyone!  This is just a mini post on the making of churros.   Hope you enjoy!  The first step is to squeeze a long loop of dough into a pot of boiling oil.
Then, you let the dough fry.
Take the loop out.
And the final step is to cut up the loop and cover the pieces with the cinnamon and sugar.  Done!  :)

Mexico-Part 7

Hi everyone!  Sorry it's been a long time since I've posted.  At the end of the last post, I said that we went to Morelia so this is what the place that we stayed at in Morelia looks like.
I'm not sure why there are still Christmas decorations on the tree....
Making breakfast.
Yummy omelet for breakfast!
In the morning, we went to an artist's house.  He had a very pretty garden.
A nearby church that we see.
Inside the house, we see a clay version of The Last Supper.
The ground has cow knuckles in it!  D:
For lunch, we eat pork tacos.
We visit a lady who tells us about the process of making chocolate.  She had a lot of birds.
Inside the kitchen, there are a lot of little jugs.
Cacao beans.  So many!
Roasted cacao beans.
Chocolate products such as hot chocolate and chocolate covered almonds.
Inside a shop, we see a baby coco cola bottle.  Juice box for size comparison.
We also see a lot of alcohol.
For dinner, we have chicken and vegetables.  Yum!
After dinner, we eat ice cream at La Michoacana.
We get chocolate ice cream,
a chili mango popsicle,
a coconut popsicle,
and lime sorbet.  It was all very tasty.  That's all for this post, I'll try to finish up my Mexico posts before school starts.
