Mexico City- Part 1

After flying for four hours, we finally arrive at our hotel (at 6 am) which has a pretty stained glass ceiling.
The rooms in the hotel.

The view of the lobby from the first floor.

We eat breakfast at Cafe de Tacuba.

The outside of a famous cathedral.

Purple velvet pillars because of Easter.

The saints.
The giant organ inside.
We are eating late lunch at Azul Historical.  Mezcal (alcohol) in a gourd shell with some oranges covered with chili, salt, and ground beetles :P.

A stuffed pepper with pomegranate cream sauce.  Steak with veggies.  Black mole chicken.

A chocolate and tres leche cake for dessert.  This is all for part 1.  More photos coming soon.  :)

  1. LOVE your Mexico City travelogue - such a fun cultural and culinary experience. Look forward to Part 2.

Those are great shots - a good eye for interesting subjects and angles. Who took the pictures and who selected the pictures for posting?
